$750 000 raised during the IRIC Audace Gala at the Université de Montréal
Published on April 11, 2024
On April 10, over X guests gathered for IRIC’s Gala Audace 2024. Thanks to the generosity of donors and guests, $750 000 was raised. Since 2014, more than $8 million has been raised through the Gala Audace, helping to perpetuate IRIC’s fundamental research and perfect cancer therapies.
“For my last edition of the Gala Audace as IRIC’s Executive Director, I can only be grateful for the support of our community and our donors. Thanks to this collective effort, IRIC is positioning itself as one of Canada’s most influential research institutes.” Michel Bouvier
The evening marked the official announcement of the Carrefour du médicament, a project launched by IRIC and its partners in the Faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy and Arts and Sciences at the Université de Montréal. The Carrefour du Médicament aims to generate new therapeutic modalities and drive the discovery of new drugs.
The event concluded with an immersive experience inviting guests to discover the world of cells and plunge into the heart of the infinitely small, thanks to microscopic projections created by students Claire Beaudouin, Alison Boutet, Éloïse Duramé, Myreille Larouche and Léa Marpeaux.
