Renewed support for Fonds Valérie Blais

IRIC is extremely grateful for the renewed support of Marie-Josée Dion and Ida Dion for the Valérie Blais Fund, aimed at supporting scientific research in immunology and oncology conducted at IRIC.
Through multiple fundraising activities with their network in 2013, 2021, and most recently in 2022, these donors have to date raised a generous sum of nearly $7,500 for the benefit of the Institute.
In memory of Valérie Blais
In 2004, Valérie Blais, then 19 years old, died of an immune system disease. A few years later, her cousin, Marie-Josée Dion, supported by Ida Dion, Valérie’s mother, set up the Valérie Blais Fund in the hope of advancing research to improve the condition of sick people and above all, to save lives. Convinced of IRIC’s unique research model, they have chosen to encourage our researchers to pursue their work in this field.
IRIC would like to thank these donors from the bottom of our hearts for their commitment and their trust over the years. Together we are making a difference for the future of our community.
