Richard and Edith Strauss Foundation: Major support for two promising projects

Convinced that the research conducted at the Institute makes a difference, the Richard and Edith Strauss Foundation Strauss renews for a third time its commitment in support of IRIC’s scientists, by donating:
- $200,000 to the pediatric leukemia project led by Brian Wilhelm, Principal Investigator at IRIC, and Dr. Sonia Cellot, Peadiatric hematologist at CHU Sainte-Justine: “Characterising the stem/progenitor cell of origin of high fatality pediatric leukemia”.
- $100,000 to the acute myeloid leukemia (AML) project led by Dr. Guy Sauvageau, Principal Investigator at IRIC and hematologist at Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont: “Identification of biological targets influencing the response to anti-AML drugs”.
