IRIC - Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer

Dear friends,

I am pleased to announce that Pomerleau is the main sponsor of the 2021 edition of Audacious, the annual benefit event of the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC) of the Université de Montréal. Due to the pandemic, the event will be held virtually this year under the name Les Rendez-vous Audace.

In a span of just over 10 years, an inspiring story, based on trust and complicity, has developed between IRIC and Pomerleau. Indeed, Pomerleau not only built IRIC in the early 2000’s, you could say that it also adopted it. A community of thought, a sharing of values revolving around innovation, collaboration, entrepreneurial spirit, professional commitment and the desire to make a difference quickly, convinced Pomerleau to become involved with IRIC in order to contribute to the advancement of cancer research, a cause that I hold particularly dear. Over the years, our commitment has been demonstrated in many ways, depending on opportunities and needs. Furthermore, I am pleased to see that our support, partly focused on projects considered to be high-risk, but with tremendous potential, has provided the Institute with a great leverage effect, whether by creating companies and patents, awarding grants to scientists, developing promising treatments, and more.

Struck by this inspiring story, convinced that cancer research leads to concrete results, and because cancer affects us all, I am delighted to take up the challenge this year and promote Les Rendez-vous Audace, a series of 3 fascinating conferences revolving around one topical theme: Le temps d’une découverte.
