IRIC’s participation in the Women & Science Event

For the past two years, IRIC has been on hand at the Science Centre as part of “Women & Science”, an event organized within the framework of the United Nations’ International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
The objective of the day is to highlight the work of these women and to inspire the next generation of women. In 2018, three of our Investigators, Julie Lessard (Chromatin Structure and Stem Cell Biology), Delphine Bouilly (Design and Application of Electronic Nanobiosensors) and Trang Hoang (Hematopoiesis and Leukemia), accompanied by a group of students, were on hand to explain their work to more than 600 young girls.
IRIC took part in the event for a second edition in February of 2019. 10 students got together for the purpose of sparking the interest of youngsters in the scientific universe.
