Pierre Thibault and Mike Tyers, winners of Genome Canada’s Genomics Technology Platforms 2016 Competition

The IRIC is proud to announce that it has been granted a funding of 3.41 M$ for its Centre for Advanced Proteomic and Chemogenomic Analyses (CAPCA), led by Pierre Thibault and Mike Tyers, both Principal Investigators at the IRIC, as part of Genome Canada “Genomics Technology Platforms 2016 Competition for Operations Support and Technology Development Funds”.
The CAPCA provides leading analyses for research projects in human health. Since, 2011, approximately 300 research groups from Canada and abroad have benefited from its services.
The 2016 competition aimed to enable the selected platforms the means to develop new technologies, to improve existing ones and to guarantee access to leading edge proteomic and chemogenomic methods.
“Over the next five years, thanks to the financial support of Genome Canada and the development of cutting-edge technologies by the teams of Pierre Thibault et Mike Tyers at IRIC, the CAPCA will offer its services to the scientific community, adapted to the specific needs of every research group.” mentioned Manon Valiquette, Chief of Core Facilities at IRIC.
