The Canadian National Proteomics Network honors Dr. Pierre Thibault with the 2017 Tony Pawson Proteomics Award

Dr. Thibault is an internationally renowned leader in mass spectrometry-based proteomics. His research contributions have spanned the elucidation of major environmental toxins, to the deep analysis of the immunopeptidome of cancer cells, to the extensive global characterization of dynamic post-translational modifications.

Dr. Thibault served as the Executive Director for Protein Analysis for the biotechnology company Caprion Pharmaceuticals and now leads one of Canada’s premiere mass spectrometry platforms at the Institute for Research Immunology and Cancer.

Dr. Thibault holds a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Proteomics and Bioanalytical Mass Spectrometry and most recently received the Maxxam Award for Analytical Chemistry in 2012 for his many contributions.
