The Canadian Society for Chemistry recognizes the IRIC PI for his work

On May 29th, as part of the Canadian Chemistry Conference & Exhibition, IRIC Principal Investigator Pierre Thibault received the Maxxam Award in recognition for his contribution to the field of analytical chemistry. This is the 13th edition of the award that is presented annually to a scientist residing in Canada.
Pierre Thibault is a renowned bioanalytical chemist specializing in mass spectrometry and proteomics with more than 20 years of experience in academic, government and industry laboratories. He joined IRIC in 2004 to lead the Proteomics and Bioanalytical Mass Spectrometry research unit as well as to direct the Institute’s Proteomics Core Facility. He is a professor at the Université de Montréal’s Department of Chemistry.
Pierre Thibault’s research program combines his expertise in bioanalytical mass spectrometry and protein chemistry to the development and implementation of new technologies in proteomics and cell biology in order to provide insights on the molecular mechanisms that regulate the function of proteins involved in immunity and signaling in cancer cells.
