Students from IRIC Distinguish Themselves at the 26th Scientific Day of the Department of Pathology and Cell Biology

Students from the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC) distinguished themselves at the 26th Scientific Day of the Department of Pathology and Cell Biology of the Université de Montréal last October 22. They earned six prizes awarded to students for the quality of their oral and poster presentations.

  • Manuel Buscarlet, Ph.D. student in the laboratory of Julie Lessard
  • Marie Cargnello, Ph.D student in the laboratory of Philippe Roux
  • Carl Laflamme, Ph.D student in the laboratory of Gregory Emery

Widely attended by professors, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows there to present their research findings, this scientific day was the opportunity to mark the centenary of the Department of Pathology and Cell Biology. As such, the event also included a special lecture on neural stem cells by guest speaker Dr. Samuel Weiss, Professor and Director of the Hotchkiss Brain Institute at the University of Calgary.
